Be positive

I have been thinking quite a bit lately that my perspective has a lot to do with my attitude or maybe it is the other way around. Kind of the chicken or the egg dilemma. Anyway, when I focus on the good in a situation it just makes life seem better. I am reading a book with some women called, Calm My Anxious Heart by Linda Dillow. It really has some good insights into this way of positive thinking and finding contentment. Not that you are in denial of reality just that you choose to focus on the good and not the bad. This journal page was created with that in mind. There was a line in the book that has impacted me in a big way. I hope this will impact you like it did me.
Two women looked through prison bars
one saw mud
the other saw stars
I think I would like to look at stars for a while and see if it agrees with me because the mud will always be there and stars are so much more beautiful to look at.

Thanks for this reminder, Teri Leigh. I so needed it! I always feel so much better when I focus on the positive.

When you're in the midst of making tough decisions it can be so easy to lose sight of all the positive. I tend to keep thinking, "what if I'm making the wrong decision?" which causes me to focus on only the possible negative outcomes.

I'm going to change this train of thought and focus on all the wonderful possible outcomes instead.

Reading your blog post this morning is like a balm to my soul. Thanks, Teri Leigh.

Thank you for your post. You are so right, it does become a way of life.
I think for me it helps to know that even when life is hard, God can and does take the hard thing and use it for our good. Not that the situation itself is good. And sometimes we do not see the good right away. I think a positive perspective and Trust go hand in hand.
Blessings Teri Leigh!!

What you focus on expands. Therefore if you focus on all that you have to be thankful for...more of it manifests in your life.
