Blue

I have decided that I have a social hangover. Too many people this weekend has left me drained and I keep finding myself staring at the wall and zoning out. Oh boy, this is crazy. I only have till 3:30 to snap out of it. Then I am off to appointments and pick up my grandson to spend the night. Ok, I can do this :) Anyone else have a busy weekend that has left them fuzzy brained? Any tricks to fix the situation quickly?

New Technique

The art group I am in met this week and we had the most amazing time. Michelle was hosting and taught us all a new technique. I can't say that I totally get the concept but I had so much fun. My painting is below.
Basically you paint this crazy wild layered background and then block out areas. Mine ended up being a girl rollerblading through the city. The clouds have parted and the rainbow and sun are out. she is carrying a bunch of balloons and have a wonderful time just gliding along past the river and the field of flowers. I think this must be her first time because her feet are slowing sliding apart and she has a look of her face that says, OH MY, HELP! That actually happened to me the first time I went rollerblading. I think I fell on my behind a few times too. Not to worry, she will get the hang of it and be just fine.

More little daily paintings

Trusting everyday in possibilities and that God is in control and will be right beside me as the day becomes night
and then day again.

I was thinking as I painted this that some days it feels like we are at war, fighting for the hearts of those we love and fighting to maintain a pure heart in this daily life.

I saw the sun

Just a couple more daily paintings to show.
With no sun for weeks (feels like years) I took advantage of the sunny day Friday. I sat in the sun and read a book and surfed the net and soaked up every ray of sun I could. I didn't think I was out there too long but my legs are sufficiently burnt to tell another story.
I am hobbling everywhere I go now, UGH!

I should have painted her legs red, HA!

PoGo is awesome!

Just wanted to poke my head in here and tell you about something that came in the mail yesterday that I am so stoked about. I almost didn't buy this portable printer because it didn't get very good ratings but I took a chance and I am so glad that I did. It is not much bigger than a cell phone and prints out wallet size photos wirelessly. I can take a picture with my cell phone and send it wirelessly to the printer and in about one minute I have a photo to put in my journal. It doesn't have ink cartridges so there is no mess. It looks like a normal photo with the print going right to the edge and on top of that, it is a sticker so all I have to do is peel the backing off and stick it down. How cool is that? Can you tell I am excited. If you don't have a cell phone that will send photos by bluetooth then you can hook it up to most devices that store photos and get them that way. But for me this is going to be perfect. Here is just a glimpse of some of the daily paintings I have been working on. I don't really paint everyday but I try. I make them quick and fun to get the juices flowing.

I scanned this one before it was finished and so it has urgent care written at the top and a few other pencil marks.

I think I was in a good mood this day and the sun was shining which is rare around here lately.

Not much else to report these days. I have been going through a very quiet time and instead of fighting it, I am going with the flow and doing what I can. Ok, that's all for now folks!
